April 26th, 2016 – preparing for some concerts in Norway in May. Including a brand new project that involves Luis Buñuel’s legendary silent movie Un chien andalou.

January 9th, 2015 – POND, our 5th album will be out in March 2015! It’s a deluxe double vinyl album. CD and downloads available, too. Release tour coming up in March, too. Very happy to perform our first concerts in Hungary and Poland, amongst others! More info very soon.

August 11th, 2014 – working on our next release these days! Recording in Oslo, preparing for release early 2015. Our label Hubro is also preparing a LIVE DVD celebrating their 5 years anniversary. The DVD will comprise performances by label mates 1982, Møster! and Huntsville.

And, hey – we did a tour in Japan earlier this year, performing with Aki Kaurismäki’s silent movie JUHA. What a fantastic movie. Here’s a little sneak peak from Shibuya Hall, Tokyo.

November 8th, 2013 – We are very happy to perform with the great label mates 1982 and Møster in Bergen tomorrow, 9th November! Bergen Kjøtt – Action Jazz

25th September, 2013 – Our 4th album «Past Increasing Future Receding» is finally out. Release concerts in Norway and London added.

12th August, 2013 – Our 4th album «Past Increasing Future Receding» will be released on September 20th. Vinyl, CD and hi-res downloads available. Norwegian release tour added here.

15th March, 2013 – releasing this video from the recording session for our new album (out September, 2013)

May 22nd, 2012 – Preparing recording session for our 4th album. Will take place here in June 2012.

January 14th, 2011 — For Flowers, Cars, and Merry Was out on March 25th, 2011. It’s out on 12″ vinyl – with a CD version of the music included. Limited edition!! Digital hi-res downloads available, too. The Norwegian artist Hanne Hukkelberg (voice) is guest on this album!

December 20th, 2010  — Very glad to announce that our next album «For flowers, cars and merry wars» will be out on the brilliant Norwegian label Hubro in March 2011. And, also this time with a pretty marvelous guest appearance. Stay tuned!

March 16th, 2010 — Just finished the first Making Amerika (sic) performances with dancers Siri Jøntvedt and Snelle Hall. Heading out for a little Scandinavian spring tour later this week. Find the dates and venues here. Also busy in studio working on our next release.

December 16th, 2009 — Very few posts here lately. Sorry for that. All good things must come to an end! The traditional New Year With Huntsville Concert is off for this 1st January. BUT we will be back with some other very interesting projects in 2010! Huntsville will perform with the great Norwegian dancers Siri Jøntvedt & Snelle Hall in the performance «Making Amerika» (sic)… record music for a new release… play shows in Europe… play shows in North America… more info later!

July 1st, 2009 — Summer is here. Huntsville plays some really interesting festivals this summer: Roskilde festival – Denmark, Molde Jazz Festival and Øya festival – Norway. Check out the concert link for info. New live videos uploaded here.

February 6th, 2009 — Huntsville contributes to the beautiful book+CD «money will ruin everything 2» resently released our label Rune Grammofon. The Huntsville contribution is a piece named «will goes hunting». Check out the book here. We are receiving great reviews on «eco, arches & eras». Click «press quotes» to read. Huntsville will appear on few, but some interesting festivals this spring and summer. New EU tour in second half of 09. Stay tuned for further info.

December 9th, 2008 — Happy New Year With Huntsville Show. Getting ready for the annual New Year Show on www.huntsville.no. This year we offer you a very special gift – live music from one of our latest shows and some spectacular film material. The gift will be available for streaming for a short period (maybe an hour or so) on January 1st, 2009 from 6 pm (CET).

September 23rd, 2008 — Extra show. Huntsville will play a short show at Victoria in Oslo, Norway 25th September – just before the announced «Mats Eilertsen Kvartett».

September 19th, 2008 — The first Norwegian review on our upcoming release «eco, arches & eras». It’s all in Norwegian. Visit our Releases section to read it, and be sure to get back later for more reviews. Reviews in other languages will be posted as soon as they arrive. Expected release outside Norway is late October.

August 30th, 2008 — Huntsville’s next release «eco, arches & eras» is a double disc with close to 100 minutes of Huntsville. The release includes both a studio part and a live part. We are happy to announce that the Norwegian singer Sidsel Endresen appears as guest on one of the tracks on the studio part, while guitarist Nels Cline and drummer Glenn Kotche join us on the live part – in a recording from 2007. You will find some short excerpts in our music player. Release date in Norway is set to 22. September. Expected release in rest of Europe early October, and US late October.

August 9th, 2008 — Huntsville has visitors on next release!
Summer is finally over! We’ve spent the last months working on our next release «eco, arches & eras». The final touch is being done at Bob Katz’ mastering studio right now. Norwegian release is set to 22. September – other territories in the weeks after.

May 18th, 2008 — Huntsville concert on DEUTSCHLAND RADIO.

January 31st, 2008 — Working in studio on our next album these days. Expected release fall 2008. Greek video artist Nikos Veliotis has made a beautiful video for the piece «The Appearance of a Wise Child» from our CD «For the Middle Class». The video is called «The Appearance of a Wise Child – [caspian monster] and will be available from the media center from February 4th.

January 20, 2008 — Huntsville live from PUNKT festival in Kristiansand, Norway on NRK (The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) – Radio P2. The concert took place on August 30th, 2007. The whole show and an interview will be broadcasted on January 20th at 10:05 p.m. and on January 23rd at 7:30 p.m. The program will also be available on NRK JAZZ January 22nd at 9:03 a.m. 3:03 p.m. and 9:03 p.m. All times are CET.
